I have had this Antique Trunk for quite some time. I wanted to put it in my office and since I never seem to have enough filing space in my desk, it made perfect sense to use this trunk as a filing cabinet!
This trunk was in very bad shape when I got it. You can tell by looking at it that it has seen some abuse. I am actually thinking that it may have been handled by the same people that handle your luggage at American Airlines!
As a matter of fact I think that the antique dealer gave this to me when I purchased a desk for my wife. Either that or it was dirt cheap.And I knew that I was in for a lot of work, but I didn’t mind since this was my very first dome top trunk!
So I went to Staples and got this rack to hang files on. Bought a few hanging file folders and a filing cabinet was born! And as you can see there is plenty of extra space.
It is very convenient. I just swivel my chair around and I can access these files from the normal sitting position in my chair!
